Allaire Ross, LMSW
Feeling disconnected from oneself can become all too easy in an increasingly fast-paced and interconnected world. I aim to create a warm and non-judgmental space where you can pause from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with yourself and what is most important to you. Processing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, both past and present, can lead to greater self-understanding and help you recover what it means to live your most authentic and joyful life. We all can heal and grow, and together we will work to overcome barriers and develop tools to help you to live the life you want.
My approach is catered to each client, drawing on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions. This varied approach allows us to explore deeper-rooted ties to current issues while developing a toolbox of tangible skills to navigate the present and future obstacles.
Carl Rogers once wrote, “when I have been listened to and heard, I can re-perceive my world in a new way and go on.” Therapy should be a time dedicated solely to you—a place where you can speak openly about what’s on your mind and explore the parts of yourself that may be buried due to the all too familiar fears of rejection or social stigma.
