Abby Brooks, LMSW
Second-guessing yourself is exhausting. It is a full-time job to constantly replay conversations or situations in your head, judging yourself and thinking, “if only I had done this,” “that was so stupid,” or “why couldn’t I do this right.” Mixing that with having trouble sleeping, questioning your identity or worth, and other responsibilities can make it difficult to get through the day. Little things that did not bother you one day could leave you feeling like you are spiraling out of control. You might have found some things that work to distract you, but in the end, the feelings come back, and you feel lost.
I seek to help people whose anxiety and depression take over at the worst possible moments leaving you feeling out of control within your own body and mind. You are the expert on yourself and your experiences therefore we will work together to process your history and build skills to manage thoughts and feelings before they take over.
Our sessions will be tailored to your needs for the day empowering you to learn how to meet your own emotional needs and how to advocate for them. I would love to be a part of your journey to regain a sense of power and control within yourself and the world around you. You can contact me by phone or email, whichever feels more comfortable for you.
