Christopher Maness, LCSW
Director of Clinical Services
Have experiences of trauma or increasing stress levels made work, relationships, and the world around you an overwhelming place to be? Has trying to communicate this to others left you feeling judged, misunderstood, or like you’re the problem? It is my belief that clients are the experts on their own lives and that their voice should be centered in the therapeutic experience. Specializing in trauma-informed psychotherapy, I offer a safe and non-judgmental approach to help clients feel seen, heard, and valued.
Unprocessed stress impacts our lives and is felt as we navigate loss, transition, and the process of finding our authentic selves. Our work together will focus on techniques for building attunement to the mind-body connection, regulating the nervous system, repairing trauma and attachment wounds, and creating ways to empower yourself in the here and now.
Throughout my work helping survivors of interpersonal violence, LGBTQIA+ individuals and other vulnerable populations, I have seen the therapeutic relationship serve as a source of healing and restoration. Partnering together, we’ll hold the complexity of your experiences and work through them to achieve more ease, choice, and connection in your life.
