Sachi Kaur, LMSW
I recognize the influence of both childhood and intersectionality on our past, present, and future selves. Intersectionality provides a lens to comprehend the ways in which our diverse identities shape our access to power and privilege in society. Childhood experiences have an impact on our adult lives, including our relationships, attachment styles, achievements, and beliefs. I aim to hold a safe and supportive space for you to explore your experiences from childhood and experiences related to power and privilege (or the lack thereof) to process how they have affected you throughout your life.
I approach sessions with a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective, particularly when working with individuals facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, we can build resilience, strength, and overall wellness
As a South Asian American woman, I bring a unique therapeutic perspective with a deep understanding of the challenges that can come with being a daughter of immigrants and belonging to marginalized groups in America. You do not have to face life's difficulties alone. Together, we will work towards developing effective coping skills, self-care practices, and self-empowerment.
